STATE REPRESENTATIVE PAUL TORKELSON SWORN INTO OFFICE, APPOINTED TO MINNESOTA HOUSE COMMITTEES

St. Paul – State lawmakers returned to St. Paul for “Opening Day” ceremonies at the State Capitol on January 14. State Representative Paul Torkelson (R-Hanska) was among the representatives who were sworn in as members of the Minnesota House for the 2025 and 2026 sessions. 

 

Torkelson represents Minnesota House District 15B, which includes all of Brown and Redwood counties and part of Blue Earth County.

 

“It is truly a privilege to represent area residents in the Minnesota House,” Torkelson said. “I am excited to bring their priorities forward once again this session.”

 

Torkelson was recently appointed Assistant Republican Leader in the Minnesota House. He will also serve as chair of the powerful Minnesota House Ways and Means Committee, and will also serve on the Rules Committee.
