Dear Neighbors,
Tax Relief
When our state has a $1.6 billion budget surplus, I think it’s time we give back to those who paid too much in state taxes. That’s why I voted and helped pass our tax bill which would provide $1.35 billion in relief, targeting at middle class Minnesotans. Our bill is a victory for small business owners, working families, and recent college graduates. Some highlights of the bill include:
I’m hopeful we can work together with the Senate and Governor to bring this overdue relief to our residents.
Local Issue
One of the local projects I’m working on relates to the cleanup of the Andover landfill. My bill, HF269, would remove the hazardous waste in the landfill and help clear out any soil contamination. This isn’t always an issue that’s fun to talk about, but we need this funding to fix this area of our city. If you’re interested, you can click here for a House Information story about our recent committee hearing on this bill.
