Dear Neighbors,
I wanted to send out a quick invite prior to my weekly email update to let you know about a very important event this weekend. On Saturday, March 24, there will be a short parade to honor Olympic gold medal-winning goalie Maddie Rooney!
As you probably know, Maddie is a 2015 graduate of Andover High School and was a major reason for Team USA’s success in the Olympics. She made some amazing saves in the tournament, and came up big when it mattered most, stopping four of Canada’s six shootout attempts to take home the gold.
The parade is at 2:30pm and goes from the outdoor ice arena near Sunshine Park in Andover to the Andover Community center. If you have a youth hockey player who wants to wear their jersey and take part in the parade, that'd be great!
I hope to see you on Saturday as we honor our local gold medalist, Maddie Rooney.
