ST. PAUL – Rep. Peggy Scott (R-Andover) released the following statement in response to the recent report that HealthCare.gov enrollees are being told to change their passwords:
“In light of recent news that people who have enrolled in Obamacare through HealthCare.gov are being told to change their account passwords because of exposure to the Heartbleed bug, it is imperative for MNsure officials to let Minnesotans know if MNsure enrollees are vulnerable to the same threat,” said Scott. “Given its checkered history of keeping the personal data of Minnesotans safe, we need to know what steps MNsure is taking to proactively safeguard the sensitive information of Minnesotans.”
Rep. Scott serves on the House Subcommittee on Data Practices.
