Neighbors, I hope your summer is going well. Several laws we passed in the 2023 legislative session will go into effect on Saturday, July 1. New laws include increases in funding for agriculture, education, renewable energy, public safety, and elections. Among the key measures taking effect are free school breakfast and lunch for all K-12 students, protecting health care workers against violence, limits on no-knock warrants, free college tuition for income-eligible students, and more. House DFLers crafted bills this session to help everyone thrive and succeed. I appreciated your input as we built our budget.
