ALEXANDRIA, MN- State Representative Mary Franson, R-Alexandria, issued the following statement after deceptive mailings from the Minnesota Labor Law Poster Service were sent to childcare providers. The mailings, a copy of which is attached, are designed in a way that closely resembles an official government registration form and charges providers a fee for posters when they are available free of charge from both the State and Federal Government.
"Providers have contacted myself and other legislators concerned about the deceptive mailings from a private company that are designed to look like government forms warning of government fines and legal action. I want providers to be aware that this is a private company looking to profit off this confusion".
