Dear Neighbors,
The 4th of July is a time for celebration, fun, and reflection on the great blessings and liberties we enjoy here in America. I wanted to pass along my best wishes for a safe and fun-filled 4th of July as you celebrate with your friends and loved ones.
Our nation has a long tradition of offering refuge to those fleeing persecution and war. In many ways, we are one of the last places on earth that serves as a safe haven for the persecuted.
As we take time to remember the values that make America a shining beacon of liberty and democracy in the world, let us not forget the principles of our Founding Fathers. We must ensure that their vision of America is preserved for generations to come—that we remain that shining city on a hill.
To you and yours, Happy Independence Day.
Mary
