ST. PAUL, MN -- On Monday, January 22, 2018, Rep. Mary Franson, R-Alexandria, took part in the March for Life at the Minnesota State Capitol. Hosted by Minnesota Citizens Concerned for Life, this event marks the anniversary of the Roe v. Wade decision, commemorating the lives lost to abortion and advocating to protect all humans including unborn children and their mothers.
She released the following statement about the March for Life and protecting the rights of the unborn:
Today I took part in the March for Life, joining legislators, faith leaders and citizens from across our state to support life and the rights of the unborn. The sanctity of life is sacred, and we are called upon to protect those who cannot protect themselves.
Joining fellow pro-life Minnesotans, I am inspired by Psalm 139: 13-17 which states, “For you created my inmost being; you knit me together in my mother’s womb. I praise you because I am fearfully and wonderfully made; your works are wonderful, I know that full well. My frame was not hidden from you when I was made in the secret place, when I was woven together in the depths of the earth. Your eyes saw my unformed body; all the days ordained for me were written in your book before one of them came to be. How precious to me are your thoughts, God! How vast in the sum of them!”
It is an honor to champion the rights of our children, families and the unborn, and I will continue to do so in my capacity as a state legislator.
