FRANSON STATEMENT ON NEW JOB FOR FORMER IG CAROLYN HAM
ST. PAUL, MN – News broke Thursday that former Department of Human Services (DHS) Inspector General Carolyn Ham was given a new position within the agency. Ham will now serve as the Chief Administrative Officer and Operations Director for Continuing Care for Older Adults Administration, making the same six-figure salary she made as Inspector General. Previously, Ham was placed on paid leave for months before being moved to a different department. Representative Mary Franson, R-Alexandria, issued the following statement regarding the move.
“This is a good reminder that when Democrats run state government, no one is held accountable for failing to stop pervasive fraud, and instead are allowed to keep their six-figure salaries at the same agency whose dollars they failed to protect,” said Franson. “It seems every week there is a news story about new problems within DHS, meanwhile they haven’t dealt with the problem that started it all.”
