ST. PAUL – Rep. Mary Franson (R-Alexandria) issued the following statement on the release of rates to be offered by MNsure, Minnesota’s new government-organized health insurance exchange:
“Today we learned that the broken promises of Obamacare are hitting home for Minnesotans,” said Franson. “Under the rate plans released by MNsure, hardworking Minnesotans will be forced to pay more for health insurance than they do in the private market in Minnesota with no guarantee patients can keep their own doctor.”
Franson added, “If we were serious about improving healthcare in Minnesota, we would have put the $100 million MNsure has spent on bureaucracy and wasteful advertising into actual healthcare like pediatric check-ups for kids, preventative screenings for women or prescriptions for the elderly.”
