ST. PAUL – Representative Mary Franson (R-Alexandria) announced today her committee assignments for the 2015 and 2016 legislative sessions.
Speaker-designate Kurt Daudt has appointed Franson to serve on four House committees including Health & Human Services Finance, Health & Human Services Reform, Aging & Long-Term Care, and Agriculture Policy where she will serve as vice chair.
“I’m eager to get to work to find solutions to our healthcare problems in Minnesota,” said Franson. “I’m especially concerned about our senior citizens and I hope we can find a way to stabilize the funding of their care.”
Franson, a second-term lawmaker, is scheduled to be officially sworn into office for her third term on January 6, 2015 to represent House District 08B – encompassing northeastern Douglas County and eastern Otter Tail County.
