ST. PAUL—Deb Kiel (R-Crookston) was officially sworn in as a state representative on Tuesday, January 3rd in St. Paul after taking the oath of office administered by Chief Justice Lorie Gildea. This is her fourth term in the Minnesota House of Representatives.
“It is an honor and privilege to represent District 01B, and I promise to continue fighting for the people and priorities of Northwestern Minnesota at the Capitol,” said Rep. Kiel. “From working to make health care more affordable for Minnesota families to championing policies that make state government more effective and efficient, we will get to work immediately to pass commonsense legislation that benefits folks from across our great state. As always, I am here to serve you and welcome your input as we begin work this session.”
This biennium, Kiel will serve as chair of the Subcommittee on Aging and Long Term Care, as well as serve on the Agriculture Finance, Health and Human Services Reform, Transportation Finance, and Rules and Legislative Administration committees.
