Crookston, MINN—Representative Deb Kiel, R-Crookston, is congratulating two local farm families for being named a 2018 Minnesota Farm Family of the Year by the University of Minnesota’s Farm Family Recognition Program. The Garth and Colleen Kaste Family Farm of Fertile and the Del and Cindy Determan Family Farm of Red Lake County were both recognized this year.
“Congratulations to both the Kaste and Determan Families on being named a 2018 Minnesota Farm Family of the Year,” said Rep. Kiel. “Our agriculture industry in Northwest Minnesota is strong thanks to great family farms like these, and folks dedicated to feeding our communities, state and nation. Well done on this fantastic accomplishment!”
