ST. PAUL — Representative Deb Kiel, R-Crookston, issued the following statement regarding Gov. Walz's announcement lifting the state's Stay at Home order effective Monday, and laying out plans to allow the reopening of restaurants, churches, and other businesses in the coming weeks.
“I am glad to see we’re taking steps in the right direction, and that many of our businesses will be allowed to safely open soon,” said Kiel. “I know that many of our local churches, restaurants, and gyms will have a very hard time surviving until June 1, however. I hope the governor will reconsider making them wait that long, especially considering many of them already have safety plans in place already."
