St. Paul – After 7 terms of dedicated service to the people of District 1B, Representative Deb Kiel, R-Crookston, has announced her retirement from public office at the end of her current term.
Throughout her time in office, Kiel has been a fierce advocate for her constituents, working tirelessly to improve the lives of those she represents. She has been a leader on issues affecting agriculture, long-term care, and many more areas.
"It has been such an honor to serve the people of Northwest Minnesota in the House. I am grateful for the trust that has been placed in me, and I will always cherish my time in office. I look forward to the upcoming legislative session, ending strong and working to find solutions to the challenges facing our state.”
Kiel, a farmer and a lifelong resident of Northwest Minnesota, lives in Crookston with her husband, Lonn.
