ST. PAUL—Deb Kiel (R-Crookston) was officially sworn in as a state representative on Tuesday, January 6, in St. Paul after taking the oath of office administered by Chief Justice Lori Gildea. This is her third term in the Minnesota House of Representatives.
“It is a true privilege to be representing the people of District 01B once again, and I will fight for our Northern Minnesota priorities at the Capitol,” said Rep. Kiel. “Moreover, with a new Republican majority in the House, Greater Minnesota will have a strong voice when it comes to passing commonsense legislation and creating policies that benefit folks from across our great state. As always, I am here to serve you and welcome your input on state policy as we begin work this session.”
Kiel will serve on the following House committees: Agriculture Finance, Aging and Long-Term Care Policy, Greater Minnesota Workforce and Economic Development Policy, and Mining and Outdoor Recreation Policy.
