The Minnesota House of Representatives is looking for High School Pages for the 2017 legislative session.
Modeled after the United States Congress Page Program, the opportunity is open to all Minnesota high school students in their junior year, and is a week in duration. The formal application process includes an application form, acquiring a faculty recommendation, and submitting an essay. Applications are Due on December 2nd, 2016.
Representative Chris Swedzinski (R-Ghent) issued the following statement regarding the High School Page Program:
"The High School Page Program is a great way for students to see how state government functions in real time, and help gauge if a career in public service is right for them, "said Rep. Swedzinski. "I encourage any interested juniors from our community to apply and get some first-hand experience at the Capitol this coming session."
