Swedzinski excited to be back at Capitol

Tuesday, February 20, 2018

ST. PAUL – The 90th Legislature convened at the Capitol Tuesday to begin the 2018 legislative session. Federal tax conformity, bonding for construction projects throughout the state and many other issues await legislative action.

Ghent Republican state Rep. Chris Swedzinski said his focus will remain on doing what is best for the people he serves Greater Minnesota.

“I’m excited to be back up in St. Paul, really ready to hit the ground running,” Swedzinski said. “I’m looking forward to what this session holds. We have a lot of stuff on the table, a lot of issues we’ll be dealing with, bonding, of course, being one of them. A lot of environmental review issues as well. Taxes, of course, will be an issue with the large tax bill the federal government had. We really have a full plate and I’m looking forward to getting down to business, rolling up our sleeves and getting the job done for rural Minnesota”

The Legislature is scheduled to adjourn May 21.
