ST. PAUL – State Rep. Chris Swedzinski, R-Ghent, announces state assistance will facilitate a $1 million county loan from Lac qui Parle County to Puris Proteins for the installation of machinery and equipment.
This Minnesota Investment Fund award to Lac qui Parle from the Minnesota Department of Employment and Economic Development reportedly will result in the creation of 75 full-time jobs.
“It’s great to see entrepreneurial growth like this right here in our own back yard,” Swedzinski said. “This clearly is a collaborative effort that will help capitalize on growing protein markets, delivering economic benefits to our area. Congratulations to everyone involved in helping to secure funding that will allow this project to move along.
News of this MIF award follows DEED recently issuing Puris an $860,000 job-creation award and a $1 million capital investment rebate.
