Dear Neighbors, It feels like summer is speeding along, but there are still plenty of warm days ahead, including this week! I hope you have time to enjoy time outdoors with your family and friends. On August 1, a new slate of laws will take effect, including measures related to bicyclists, catalytic converters, firearms, and worker safety. Also, several items related to the legalization of adult-use cannabis take effect on August 1. To read more from nonpartisan House Public Information and House Research about the new laws, click here and here. Family Farm ChampionIt was an honor to receive, along with State Senator Rob Kupec, the Farmers Union Family Farm Champion award for our work on passing the best Right to Repair bill in the nation. The Farmers Union was one of the important groups we worked with in getting the bill done. Summer fun!Just a reminder to enjoy the Canadian Days celebration August 4-6 in Little Canada. Click here for a schedule of events. You can still see some of your favorite cars in the History Cruzer Car Show every Friday night through September in downtown North St. Paul.
