ST. PAUL, MN – State Representative Peter Fischer (DFL—Maplewood) plans to hold a town hall meeting with District 43A residents later this month to discuss major accomplishments that took place during the 2013 Legislative Session.
Constituents will have an opportunity to ask questions and comment on the DFL budget, which makes historic investments in education, eases the property tax burden on individuals, families, and businesses, and funds proven strategies like low-interest business loans and job training to put Minnesotans back to work.
“I’m looking forward to catching up with my neighbors and fellow residents of District 43A,” said Rep. Fischer. “The budget we passed is going to make a positive difference in countless lives. We also took serious steps to address issues that have a direct impact on our District, like increasing the number of tools at our disposal to stop water levels from receding at White Bear Lake. I’m eager to gather feedback and answer people’s questions.”
