News Release
ST. PAUL, MN – Today, Minnesota Management and Budget released the February budget forecast, indicating a $9.25 billion surplus. This is more than the December forecast of $7.7 billion.
Representative Brian Johnson (R-Cambridge) issued this statement regarding the report:
“Minnesota needs meaningful tax relief for all,” Johnson said. “The government has a $9 billion surplus. This money needs to be used to stop our social security tax. It needs to refill our unemployment trust. It needs to go back into the wallets of the taxpayers.”
