Dear Neighbors,
This week is a short one for students, and I look forward to seeing the many college students or service men and women coming back to sit in church with their families for the Christmas services. Family and friends coming back home is one of the best parts of the holidays. My family is looking forward to celebrating the birth of Jesus while taking a couple days to relax. I know that many families spend this holiday in different ways, and I wish each of you the best as you spend this time in your own faith tradition or just in the solace of family.
But, one thing I am reminded each year is that too many of our neighbors don't have a family or a place to share this holiday. We try to reach out to people who may be spending the holiday alone. If all of us can reach one or two people that may be alone this year, the meaning of this holiday will truly be shared.
Best wishes from my family to yours!
Ron
