ST. PAUL – State Rep. Ron Kresha, R-Little Falls, performed his fourth oath of office in the Minnesota House of Representatives Tuesday as the 91st Legislature was sworn in at the Capitol.
Kresha was re-elected to the House in November and represents District 9B, which encompasses nearly all of Morrison County and a portion of Todd. He has been selected as the lead Republican on the House Education Finance Division and also will serve on the Ways and Means Committee.
“The oath of office is a humbling, special experience and I am eternally grateful the citizens of District 9B have once again entrusted me to work for them in the House,” Kresha said. “The past handful of months mainly have been spent discussing issues with the people back home in our district. The feedback I received from the people back home is appreciated and will be helpful in my efforts to take on the challenges we face in Greater Minnesota.”
During his first three terms, Kresha has been a vocal proponent of broadband expansion in Greater Minnesota, as well as increased funding for nursing homes and long-term care facilities for seniors and the disabled. He has also been a leading advocate for child protection.
Kresha lives in Little Falls with his wife, Wendy, and their five children. He is a former school board member and currently works as the COO of Golden Shovel Agency, an economic development company that manages digital communications for rural cities and counties.
Kresha said he encourages local citizens to in District 9B to contact his legislative office this session by calling (651) 296-4247 or by emailing rep.ron.kresha@house.mn.
