St. Paul, MN— Representative Ron Kresha (R-Little Falls) is supporting Minnesota students through education grants that would provide vocational education.
“As a country, we have gotten away from emphasizing the importance of vocational education in the classroom,” Kresha said. “Vocational careers are the backbone of our country, and I am proud to offer students options to become gainfully employed after they graduate.”
As part of his legislation, HF3641, $5,000 grants would be made available to students enrolled in vocational education programs that can be completed in two years or less. The money can pay for education, training, tools or licenses necessary to enter in-demand fields.
The bill is currently the Workforce and Business Development Finance and Policy Committee for review. More information can be found here.
