News Release
ST. PAUL, MN – Today, Minnesota Management and Budget released the February budget forecast, indicating a $9.25 billion surplus. This is more than the December forecast of $7.7 billion.
Representative Ron Kresha (R- Little Falls) issued this statement regarding the report:
“Today’s announcement reiterates what we already know- Minnesotans are overtaxed. We need to return the money and offer permanent tax relief,” Kresha said. “This money needs to go into Minnesotan’s pocketbooks, fix the unemployment fund, and end the social security tax. With unprecedented inflation, people need relief.”
