ST. PAUL, MN—Assistant Majority Leader Rep. Ron Kresha, R-Little Falls, issued the following statement regarding the status of ongoing budget negotiations.
"Democrats are holding up the state budget negotiations over their desire to increase the gas tax on Minnesota families. Minnesotans have asked us to prioritize long-term care, education, safe roads and bridges, property tax relief, and child protection. We should be able to come to an agreement regarding a budget that helps middle-class families instead of holding negotiations hostage by forcing a very unpopular gas tax."
