ST. PAUL – State Rep. Marion Rarick, R-Maple Lake, returned to the Capitol on Tuesday to perform the oath of office in the Minnesota House of Representatives as a member of the 94th Legislature.
Rarick was re-elected to the House in November. She serves District 29B in Wright County – including the cities of Buffalo, Monticello, Maple Lake and surrounding areas.
She recently gained an appointment to serve as the Republican chair of the House Higher Education Finance and Policy Committee. She also has accepted a position to serve a newly formed committee that will work to address fraud in state programs amid numerous reports detailing widespread abuse of tax dollars. Rarick also will serve the Judiciary Finance and Civil Law Committee, along with a position on the Ways and Means Committee – the last stop for bills before they reach the floor for final votes of approval.
“It feels great to be back at work at the Capitol, working to get Minnesota back on track after the reckless spending, unnecessary tax increases and extreme policies enacted the last two years,” Rarick said. “When our Legislature truly represents all Minnesotans, we make better decisions. District 29B residents know I’m on the job, working my hardest for them – 12 to 18 hours a day during session – because that’s what they deserve. I’m incredibly grateful for the support I continue receiving from local residents and it inspires me to dig in even deeper to be a strong voice for them."
Rarick indicated House Republicans recently shared a list of priorities for the 2025 legislative session. They include:
Rarick said she welcomes correspondence throughout the session and encourages District 29B residents to call (651) 296-5063 or email rep.marion.rarick@house.mn.gov to get in touch. She also provides periodic email updates and citizens can sign up to receive them at her official state website: www.house.mn/29b.
