Dear Friends,
This week, I joined House GOP Leader Kurt Daudt and Senate GOP Leader David Hann for an interview with the Owatonna People's Press. Representative Daudt and Senator Hann were traveling the state this week talking with local media about the need for more balance and compromise in Saint Paul. On all of the major issues passed this session, the majority has made little effort to work with Republicans to incorporate ideas or in an effort to secure bipartisan support.
I hope as we wind down the 2014 session we can end on a more positive note. Rather than pushing through divisive pieces of legislation on party line votes I hope we can incorporate good ideas from both sides as we tackle the important issues from Minnesota.

Lastly, I wanted to pass along my best wishes for a safe and happy Easter/Passover weekend. This is an important time for Minnesotans of many faiths, so I hope this weekend gives you time to reflect on the importance of this time of year.
