ST. PAUL – State Rep. Jeff Backer, R-Browns Valley, announces the city of Tintah will receive a $54,000 state grant for wastewater treatment purposes.
The grant was approved by the Minnesota Public Facilities Authority through the Small Community Wastewater Treatment Program. The PFA indicates the grant will help Tintah “evaluate wastewater treatment alternatives and develop the technical, managerial and financial capacity necessary to build, operate and maintain a publicly owned and operated sewage treatment system.”
“Congratulations to the people of Tintah for their successful application and work on improving wastewater treatment,” Backer said. “I look forward to seeing this funding put to good use to the benefit of local citizens.”
