St. Paul, MN – Minnesota’s 2021 Legislative Session officially began January 5th with Rep. Jeff Backer (R-Browns Valley) and 133 other state representatives being sworn into office during a ceremony at the State Capitol.
“I look forward to serving our district in the legislature for another two years,” said Rep. Backer. “As we prepare to pass a new, two-year state budget, I will continue to be an advocate for taxpayers and our rural way of life. Now, more than ever, we must stand against the excesses of big government and instead return to founding principles like life, liberty, and the pursuit of happiness.”
Most of Rep. Backer’s work during the first months of session will take place in House committees. For the 2021-2022 legislative biennium, Backer has been appointed to serve on the following committees:
