Dear Neighbors,
Highly contagious Avian Influenza has been detected in several flocks in Minnesota. Many of you may remember the 2015 outbreak that devastated turkey producers in Minnesota.
We are much better prepared for this year's outbreak thanks to the lessons learned from 2015.
Please be sure to continue supporting Minnesota-grown poultry during this uncertain time. Poultry remains safe and nutritious to eat!

All of us are struggling under the weight of inflation and high energy prices. That’s why I was so disappointed to see the House Democrat majority hear a bill in committee this week that would directly raise the cost of gas.
The bill would raise the cost of gasoline and diesel fuel by 20 cents per gallon in the near term and up to 54 cents per gallon by 2035.
This proposal would result in the average Minnesota household having to spend an additional $210 to $570 per year, every single year at the pump.

With the State Office Building open to the public, several constituents have taken the time to visit St. Paul over the last week. If you plan to be in St. Paul sometime soon, please make sure to contact my office. It'd be great to meet with you!
Breckenridge area residents, Bruce Yaggie, Beth Deal, Joni Frolek, and Jay Schuler traveled to St. Paul this week to meet with Sen. Torrey Westrom and I to discuss the infinity center in Breckenridge.
Thanks to local sugar beet producers, Eric Eroman and Jeremy Tischer for visiting St. Paul this week to discuss the importance of producers here in Minnesota.
Thanks to local residents Ryan Mackenthun, Bob Lindeman, and Jamie Beyer who stopped in St. Paul today for the Minnesota Soybean Growers day at the Capitol. It was great to speak with you and thanks for all you do for Minnesota!
Please be sure to take time this weekend to pray for the people of Ukraine and the situation taking place over there. New Life Community Baptist in Ortonville is hosting a time of prayer for the people and Nation of Ukraine on Sunday, April 3 at 7:00 pm. I encourage you to attend if you're able.
