Committee Updates

This week I introduced two bills that will help EMT's across the state. HF 1814 which would provide grant funding to upgrade radios and other related equipment.

Click here to watch the introduction of HF 1814.

I also introduced HF 696 - Supporting Rural Ambulance Services

Rural EMS teams are the lifeline of our communities, yet many emergency calls go unpaid simply because no transport occurs, even when life-saving care is provided on the scene. House File 696 ensures that ambulance services get the support they need by allowing reimbursement for essential medical assistance runs, including those where transport isn’t required. No more penalizing EMTs for doing the right thing! This bill helps small, rural ambulance services stay afloat so they can continue responding when Minnesotans need them most.
