Wavering Walz: A Governor Without Priorities
Governor Walz talks about One Minnesota, but his actions tell a different story. Under one-party Democrat control, he:
And now? He’s trying to balance the budget on the backs of our most vulnerable by cutting Medicaid, education funding, and support for seniors in nursing homes.
Minnesotans deserve better. We need leadership that prioritizes people, not reckless spending and mismanagement.

What are we tracking this week??... The budget and Democrats love of spending money.
We’ve officially started budget negotiations, with committees like Health Finance and Policy already diving into the details. Over the next two weeks, we’ll be working through key financial and policy decisions that will impact every Minnesotan. But what continues to amaze me is how Democrats keep bringing forward bills that recklessly spend money with no regard for the mess they’ve already created. In just two years, they blew through an $18 billion surplus, raised taxes by $10 billion, and added $6 billion to the state’s credit card, all while growing government by nearly 40%. While hardworking Minnesotans are forced to budget wisely, state government under one-party control has done the exact opposite. I’m committed to fighting against this out-of-control spending and working to protect your tax dollars.

Thank you to everyone who stopped by the Capitol to visit this week!
Visited with Students from the Fergus Falls Public School at the Capitol. We talked about how State Government works!
Janna Hefty (Borgheiinck) visited the Capitol and stopped by with her two sons to say hello. She is originally from Browns Valley, MN.
Janna and I served together for several years on the Browns Valley Ambulance Service. Great getting to see her again and catch up!
It was truly inspiring to witness the Ten Commandments prominently showcased on the State Capitol lawn during the week! This display serves as a powerful reminder of the values that have shaped our society.
