ST. PAUL, MN— On Tuesday, Speaker Kurt Daudt, R-Crown, named Rep. Dave Baker, R-Willmar, as Vice-Chair of the Rules and Legislative Administration Committee. The committee will be chaired by Majority Leader Rep. Joyce Peppin, R-Rogers.
"Rules and Legislative Administration is an important part in helping things run smoothly at the Capitol,” said Baker. “I’m grateful for this appointment, and look forward to working in my other committee areas, too.”
Along with his appointment to the Rules and Legislative Administration Committee, Baker will also serve on the Health and Human Services Reform, Job Growth and Energy Affordability Policy and Finance, Transportation Finance, and Ways and Means Committees, as well as the Subcommittee on Aging and Long Term Care.
Baker, who was first elected in 2014, will be sworn in for his second term in January when the 2017 legislative session officially begins.
