Dear Friends,
We are entering the final weekend of the 2019 legislative session without agreement on a two-year state budget between the GOP Senate and Democrats in the House and Governor.
The main sticking point in budget negotiations continues to be over the question of whether additional taxes are needed to meet Minnesota's needs.
With a $1 billion budget surplus and higher than projected tax revenue flowing into state coffers thanks to a booming economy, there's no reason we should be raising taxes on hardworking Minnesotans.
