Hi friends,
This week, I’m sharing an important update from the Capitol as we reach a critical point in session. I'm encouraged to report that both parties in the House have come together on budget targets—a key step as we work to address the state’s projected $6 billion deficit. At the same time, I’ve been focused on advancing a deeply personal bill, born out of tragedy, to improve scuba diving safety and training standards in Minnesota. The Brady Aune and Joseph Anderson Safety Act passed off the House Floor last night with unanimous support, 127-0. These are the kinds of meaningful, bipartisan efforts that make a real difference, and I’m proud to be part of the work moving us forward.
