Dear Neighbors,
I wanted to send a quick update to wish you a merry Christmas and happy New Year. It’s been a busy holiday time here at home, but I’ve been enjoying it greatly!
Wells Rifle and Pistol Club Christmas Dinner
I've enjoyed getting around the communities in our area during the holiday festivities. I had a wonderful time with the members of the Wells Rifle and Pistol Club at the club’s annual Christmas party in Wells recently (I am a member of this club). I always look forward to joining them – such great people to be around – and they serve a mouthwatering steak dinner, too!
A Visit With Kids College
Colter and I went to visit Kids College earlier this week, an after-school program in downtown Albert Lea. I love this program. Whenever I stop by, the kids are always actively engaged and having a blast exploring their creativity. The program allows kids to explore the arts, from writing, to painting, to beadwork, and more. Check them out sometime here. It’s a great way for kids to spend their after-school time. Colter thinks it’s a pretty cool place too and loves to cuddle with the kids!
DNR Dredging Permit Approved
On Tuesday, we received notice that the Shell Rock River Watershed District Board received their permit from the DNR to dredge Fountain Lake. It was a pleasure for me to have had the opportunity to work with both the DNR and our Watershed District to help get this permit approved and finalized. This process was a challenge and I want to thank both the DNR and the Watershed District for sticking this out and working together to get this permit completed. It’s a nice Christmas present for our area!
Merry Christmas!
One of my favorite parts of the Christmas season is to be able to drive around and see all of the beautiful lights on the homes and attend the fun hometown events when I’m able. My most favorite, though, is the time I get to spend with good friends and family. Nothing can beat that!
I hope you have a wonderful holiday season. My three furry friends, Colter, Kelchi, and Mingo, and I wish you a very merry Christmas and a blessed new year!
