ALBERT LEA, MN—Rep. Peggy Bennett, R-Albert Lea, issued the following statement congratulating the 2018 Farm Family of the Year for Freeborn County, Dave and Becky Ausen and family.
“Congratulations to Dave and Becky Ausen and their family on being named a 2018 Freeborn County Farm Family of the Year,” said Bennett. “We’re so proud of our area’s rich farming history, and the Ausen's long-lasting farm shows us how important southern Minnesota’s agriculture industry has been for over a century. Again, congrats to Dave, Becky, and the rest of the Ausen family on this award!”
The Farm Family Recognition Program is coordinated by the University of Minnesota Extension; the College of Food, Agriculture, and Natural Resources Sciences; and the College of Veterinary Medicine and recognizes families from Minnesota's 87 counties who have made significant contributions to Minnesota agriculture and their communities. The 2018 Farm Family Recognition Program is set for today, August 9 at Farmfest.
