ALBERT LEA, MN – On Friday, the Public Facilities Authority (PFA) announced a $1.81 million Drinking Water Revolving Fund loan to the city of Alden to construct an addition to the existing water treatment plant, repair one of the wells and install water meters.
“I’m thrilled to see this loan help the city of Alden save over $300,000 on this important water project,” said Rep. Peggy Bennett, R-Albert Lea. “Continued access to clean drinking water is so important in our area, and this loan will go a long way in maintaining this standard for Alden residents.”
The Minnesota Public Facilities Authority provides financing and technical assistance to help communities build and maintain infrastructure that protects public health and the environment and promotes economic growth. Since inception in 1987, the PFA has financed $4.5 billion in public infrastructure projects in communities throughout Minnesota.
