ST. PAUL – On January 3, State Representative Peggy Bennett (R-Albert Lea) took the oath of office to serve as state representative for Minnesota House District 23A, which includes communities in Faribault, Freeborn, Waseca, and Steele counties.
“I’m humbled by the opportunity to once again serve the people of southern Minnesota, and I am excited once again to represent their interests,” Bennett said.
Minnesota House committee assignments were recently released. Bennett will serve as the Republican Lead on the Education Policy Committee and in addition will serve on the Education Finance Committee and Veterans and Military Affairs Finance and Policy Committee over the next two years.
