Dear Neighbors,
This Wednesday is Veterans Day—a time for our community and nation to recognize and honor the men and women who have sacrificially served our nation. We owe a debt of gratitude to these brave individuals as they gave so much to protect our way of life.
Many of us know someone in uniform; we understand the selfless commitment made by service women and men and the toll it can take on the families who support them along the journey.
A supportive community strengthens the spirit of military families, and we can extend that support by getting involved or reaching out. If you are interested in volunteer opportunities, I urge you to visit the VA’s website—www.volunteer.va.gov for more information.
Again, thank you to those who have served, are currently serving, and those who will join in the future. We are the land of the free and home of the brave because of you.
Additionally, I want to invite you to an “In-District Office Hours” event that I am hosting this Saturday, at 9:30 am at Bernie’s Grill in Faribault. Feel free to swing by, have a cup of coffee and discuss ways we can make state government work better for you and your family!
Sincerely,
Brian
