ST. PAUL, MN -- Representative Brian Daniels (R-Faribault) has been appointed to the conference committee for Senate File 2214: the Higher Education Omnibus Bill. Daniels joins four other House conferees, as well as five Senate conferees, who will work in the coming days to resolve the differences between the House and Senate versions of the bill.
"I am honored to have been selected by the Speaker to serve on the Higher Education Omnibus Bill Conference Committee," Daniels said. "I am confident that the House Conferees, the Senate Conferees, and the Governor will be able to come to a compromise on the bill that benefits all affected parties and still be respectful of taxpayer dollars.”
After the conference committee report is passed, it will head to the House and Senate to be voted on. If passed by both bodies, the report will then be sent to the Governor for his final consideration.
