Dear Friends,
The 2018 legislative session is set to begin February 20th and I’m looking forward to going back to St. Paul to continue my work on issues that matter to you and our community. I am hopeful that we will build on the successes of last session by continuing to lower health insurance costs, provide additional tax relief for Minnesotans, strengthen our state’s business climate, reduce wasteful spending, and build the strongest schools in the nation.
Ultimately, my goal is to ensure that Minnesota continues to be a great place to live, work, and raise a family.
Some other issues that I am planning to work on this year include:
- Fixing the Nerstrand Charter School’s lottery process to ensure more Nerstrand residents are able to attend this remarkable school.
- Addressing deaf and hard of hearing issues like increasing closed captioning options in public places and licensing interpreters for schools.
- Providing custom license plates for Air Force service members.
- Looking into ways to reform Minnesota’s welfare system to prevent fraud, abuse, and ensure that the state is helping those in need while empowering individuals to acquire good-paying jobs.

2018 March for Life
This year’s March for Life is set for Monday, January 22nd at 12:30. I encourage you to attend and be a part of the thousands of individuals who will gather across the country on that day to peacefully protest our nation’s abortion laws. I plan on being in attendance and would love to see you there! Please dress warm if you are planning to attend.
