ST. PAUL, MN – On Monday, April 4, Rep. Jon Koznick’s (R-Lakeville) bill, HF2956, passed the House of Representatives by a vote of 131-0. HF2956 creates an appointed position on the Dakota County Development Agency Board for a resident of a federally funded public housing unit. The change brings Dakota County into conformity with federal law.
“I’m proud to have unanimous support for this bill to assist Dakota County and give our residents more of a voice,” said Koznick. “The legislation helps our area become compliant with federal law, and clears up unnecessary language in state statute. I look forward to this bill being signed into law in the near future.”
HF2956 now heads to the Senate for passage before making its way to Governor Dayton’s desk to be signed.
