ROSEMOUNT, MN – On Wednesday, Rep. Jon Koznick, R-Lakeville, joined Rep. Anna Wills, R-Rosemount, and Higher Education Committee Chairman Bud Nornes, R-Fergus Falls, at Dakota County Technical College for a tour with DCTC President Tim Wynes of the new Transportation and Emerging Technologies department renovation. In 2015, Rep. Koznick worked as co-author with bill author Rep. Wills to successfully appropriate $7 million for the final phase of the restoration.
“It was rewarding to see the students – including my constituent and Lakeville South graduate, Brodie – learning a trade and career skills facilitated by our bill.” said Koznick. “Our thanks to President Wynes at Dakota County Technical College for the tour, and I look forward to continuing to help people, young and older adults, to gain critical career skills needed in the changing job market.”
In the last biennium, the Minnesota Legislature also passed a tuition freeze for all four-year MnSCU campuses, and lowered tuition at all two-year MnSCU campuses.
