ST. PAUL, MN – On Thursday, Rep. Jon Koznick, R-Lakeville, took part in the Young Women’s Initiative of Minnesota (YWI) Council Meeting. This council, put together by Governor Mark Dayton, is a group of lawmakers, state officials, and leaders of the community.
The goal of the council is to help institute the YWI Action Plan “to strategically create and advance opportunities for young women in Minnesota to achieve equity in opportunities and start eliminating barriers to ensure that all Minnesotans can live prosperous lives.”
“I’m honored to have been invited to participate on this council and take part in the exciting process,” said Koznick. “As the father of two young daughters, I want to make sure all young women have every opportunity to succeed, and realize their unique American dreams. All our kids should be encouraged to reach their fullest potential.”
