“Lakeville is the perfect community for Amazon to locate their new headquarters”
LAKEVILLE, MN – Recently, the city of Lakeville, MN submitted the required information to Greater MSP regional economic development group, proposing Lakeville be included as a potential site of a new Amazon headquarters. According to Amazon, the new headquarters would help the company “invest over $5 billion in construction and grow this second headquarters to include as many as 50,000 high-paying jobs.”
“As all Lakeville residents know, our city is an amazing place to live and work,” said Rep. Jon Koznick, R-Lakeville. “Lakeville is an ideal community for business to expand in. We are located just 20 miles south of MSP international airport, off a major interstate with available land to develop. All new businesses will be ‘positioned to thrive’ and share in the success of Lakeville. Additionally, our strong schools, growing population, increasing transit options - including access to rail - proximity to the Shakopee distribution center, the Airlake airport and industrial park, and of course, our friendly people, Lakeville is the perfect community for Amazon to locate their new headquarters. I’ll continue to advocate for our city as Amazon makes its final decision.”
State Rep. Jon Koznick is the Vice Chair of the Transportation Policy Committee, and serves on the Tax Committee and the Transportation Finance Committee. Rep. Koznick is in the middle of his second term representing Lakeville, MN, a suburban district 25 miles south of St. Paul and Minneapolis.
