ST. PAUL, MN — Rep. Jon Koznick (R-Lakeville) announced today that he has been appointed to the Minnesota Trade Policy Advisory Council. The Trade Policy Advisory Council consists of 15 members including commissioners from three state agencies, four members of the state legislature, and eight governor appointees representing interests including organized labor, environmental interests, family farmers, business and industry, and international trade and development.
“I am excited to be appointed to the state’s Trade Policy Advisory Council,” Said Rep. Koznick. “While most Minnesotans may not think about how our state interacts with the global economy, the reality is that international trade agreements have a profound impact on Minnesota’s economy. I am eager to be a voice for free trade on this council and look forward to strengthening our state’s relationship with the global economy.”
The Minnesota Trade Policy Advisory Council advises and assists the governor and legislature on issues related to United States trade agreements and assesses the potential impact of federal trade agreements on the state's economy. Koznick will serve on the Council for the entirety of the 2019-2020 biennium.
