ST. PAUL, MN – State Rep. Jon Koznick, R-Lakeville, has been appointed to serve as the lead Republican on the House Economic Development Finance Committee when the 2023 legislative session begins January 3rd.
"It is no secret that Minnesotans are feeling the weight of inflation as economic pressure continues to persist in impacting family budgets and businesses’ bottom lines," said Rep. Koznick. "As the Republican-lead on this committee, I will work hard to make sure that state government is doing what it can to help foster a healthy economy where businesses can thrive, and families across the state can live out the America dream.”
Koznick is entering his fifth term and has been a leading voice on economic issues during his time in the Minnesota House of Representatives. In addition to his time serving on a variety of House committees, notably the Jobs and Economic Development, the Transportation, and the Taxes committees, Koznick also serves on the board of directors for the Minnesota Council of Latino Affairs. He was re-elected in November to serve as representative for the newly drawn House District 57A which includes western and southern Lakeville, Credit River, Elko New Market, as well as Eureka and New Market Townships.
